Requirements
- Two to three years of teaching experience with young children in a public or community-based program.
- Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the applicant’s immediate supervisor (principal or director)
Additional Requirements for Option One
- A copy of current teaching license.
Additional Requirements for Option Two
- Completed bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, or a related area with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Applicants who have not taken a comparable child development course (birth-age 8) and an introduction to exceptional children course within the past five years will be required to complete the following courses in addition to the program requirements:
