How can I access my H: Drive/AFS space from off-campus?

For Windows Users

High Speed Internet connection

If you have a high speed Internet connection (cable modem or DSL), you can use Open AFS and VPN Client to access your H: Drive/AFS space. Download these two programs from UNC Shareware Distribution. Be sure to carefully read and follow the installation directions.

Slow Speed Internet Connection

If you do not have a high speed Internet connection, you can use SSH Secure File Transfer Client to access your H: Drive/AFS Space.

For Mac Users

You can use Fetch with a dial-up modem to access your H: Drive/AFS space. Download Fetch from UNC Shareware Distribution.

Once you open the program, enter isis.unc.edu for the host name and then enter your username and password (from your Onyen). Leave the directory field blank.
