Melanie Shoffner Receives Fellowships for Dissertation Research and Teaching

Melanie Shoffner, a third-year Ph.D. student in the Culture, Curriculum and Change Program, received a Dissertation Completion Fellowship for 2005-06 from the UNC-Chapel Hill Graduate School. 

She also recently received a Future Faculty Fellowship from the UNC-Chapel Hill Center for Teaching and Learning, awarded to selected graduate students who are independent instructors in the upcoming academic year and are committed to an academic career. 

Shoffner’s faculty advisor is Jim Trier, assistant professor of English education.
