School of Education faculty receive University, national awards

Carol Malloy recipient of University’s Mentor Award for Lifetime Achievement
The University-wide award is presented to one person annually to acknowledge extraordinary lifetime contributions to teaching, learning and mentoring beyond the classroom.

Gerald Unks receives a Tanner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, his eighth University-wide teaching award
The awards are presented annually at UNC-Chapel Hill to recognize inspirational teaching of undergraduate students.

Madeleine Grumet selected for national lifetime achievement award in curriculum studies
The 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award from Division B of the American Educational Research Association recognizes an outstanding scholar who has made a “visible and substantive contribution to the field of curriculum studies.”
