School of Education begins new academic year

The School of Education welcomed 314 education students to a new academic year as fall 2008 classes began Aug. 19.

Besides the returning students, newcomers included 182 graduate students from 18 states as well as Canada, Cyprus and Turkey. In addition, 92 UNC juniors entered the School’s undergraduate professional programs. Moreover, 40 post-baccalaureate students began work this year in programs leading to licensure in a range of specialty areas, such as English as a Second Language, literacy and special education.  [Read more.]
