Prospective Student Open House being held Saturday

The School of Education will host an Open House for prospective students on Saturday. The event is for undergraduate and graduate student programs. It begins at 9 a.m. and runs until noon. Prospective students will have opportunities to talk with faculty, staff, and current students and get their questions answers in an informal setting. A campus tour will be conducted by the SOE student ambassadors at the at the end of the event. You may find more information and a link to register here. MEITE holding webinar series ‘Innovations in Game-Based Learning

The M.A. in Educational Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneurship (MEITE) holding a fall webinar series: "Innovations in Game-Based Learning." Hosted by MEITE Director Lisa Dawley, the series brings together leaders in classrooms, districts, universities, and corporations to share their latest work to push the edges of educational innovation with game-based learning processes and products. Doctoral student Brian Cartiff featured in ‘Well Said’ podcast

Brian Cartiff, a doctoral student in the Learning Sciences and Psychological Studies Ph.D. strand, was the featured guest in the most recent edition of Carolina’s “Well Said” podcast. Cartiff talked about learning strategies that can help students learn new material, strategies that research has proven to work. The podcast follows a column Cartiff wrote with faculty member Jeff Greene that appeared in The News & Observer newspaper earlier this month, “As school starts, four keys to better learning.”
