School of Education invites nominations for alumni awards

The School of Education is currently seeking nominations for our annual alumni awards. The dean and the School of Education Alumni Council have established these awards to recognize the accomplishments, commitment and ongoing contributions to education of our alumni and friends and to honor their important role in the life of the School.

At the 2009 awards ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 26, the following awards will be given:

  • Outstanding Young Alumni Award
  • Excellence in Teaching Award
  • Distinguished Leadership Award
  • Alumni Achievement Award
  • Peabody Award

The Peabody Award may be given to alumni or friends of the School of Education or UNC-Chapel Hill who have made an extraordinary impact on the field of education. The other awards are presented only to alumni or faculty of the School of Education.
