Foundation Board meets, oversees funds

Hulene Dian Hill

Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Hulene Hill is a retired certified public accountant and an active volunteer. She was vice president of Steward Ingram Cooper in Raleigh, N.C., from 1992-2002. Previously, she was a partner with Deloitte & Touche in Charlotte, N.C. and a tax manager with Ernst & Young in Columbia, S.C. 

Her professional success has been recognized with several awards, including designation as Accountant of the Year by the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers in 1985. A native of Salisbury, N.C., she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from UNC-Charlotte in 1971.

Before joining the Board of the School of Education Foundation in 2008, Hill served on the Audit Committee of the Board. Elsewhere in the University, she has served on the advisory board of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the scholarship chairwoman of the University Woman’s Club Board.  Along with her husband Ed Adkins (B.S.I.R. ’58), she is involved in fundraising at the Friday Center and is a Friend of the Library.
