Barbara Day elected president of international education honor society

Barbara Day, professor and coordinator of the Curriculum and Instruction Program, has been elected president of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Day, who will serve a two-year term, was elected in July. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is an honor society of more than 150,000 women educators in 14 countries that promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

Day has been a faculty member at the School of Education since 1966. Her research and scholarship have focused on identifying teachers’ criteria for success.
