Audrey Heining-Boynton Opens NASDAQ

Audrey Heining-Boynton, professor of foreign language education and English as a Second Language, signs the NASDAQ register in New York City on August 29, 2005.  In her role as president of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Heining-Boynton and others from the education and business communities opened the NASDAQ stock market, highlighting the importance of languages in the business world.  This event was part of the yearlong, national celebration of 2005: The Year of Languages in the United States.
