Duane Brown Receives National Career Development Award

Duane Brown, professor of school counseling, received the 2005 National Career Development Association Eminent Career Award, recognizing his contributions to the advancement of career development. Brown has authored or co-authored 25 books and more than 100 articles and book chapters, as well as a values inventory. The second edition of his book with Linda Brooks, Career Choice and Development, was translated and published in German and other portions of his work have been translated into Italian, Russian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. He has also held numerous state and national leadership positions including president of the National Career Development Association. The award was presented in June 2005 at the annual convention of the National Career Development Association, a division of the American Counseling Association.
