2013 Alumni Awards Dinner

Location: The Carolina Inn

The School of Education will host its 2013 Alumni Awards Dinner on Nov. 16 at the Carolina Inn to honor four alumni of the school and James Gallagher, former director of the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute.

A cocktail reception will be held at 6 p.m., with the dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Alumni Awards Dinner will be held in conjunction with a symposium hosted by the School of Education, “Education for a New Era,” that will feature several panel discussions, also at the Carolina Inn. The symposium events begin at 9 a.m. and run through the day.

Alumni being honored at the dinner are John Claude Bemis (A.B.Ed. ’95, M.Ed. ’03), Frank Comfort (M.A.T. ’69), Ben Matthews (A.B. ’71, Ph.D. ’84 and Iris Roshfield Weiss (Ph.D. ’74).
