'Research and Practice Series' brown bag: LEARN NC

February 27, 2013

The work of LEARN NC will be the topic of the next “Research and Practice Series” brown bag lunch on Wednesday. The talk, entitled “LEARN NC: Advancing Teaching and Learning from the Inside Out,” will start at noon in Room 02. LEARN NC works to advance teaching and learning by connecting the university world of research and scholarship with practitioners and students. Digital collections and publications provide a rich array of classroom-ready materials while online courses provide training and content to teachers for CEU credit. The presentation will highlight the ways in which LEARN NC is┬áproviding UNC faculty and organizations a project-based laboratory to address the urgent and unmet needs of educators of all levels. Plan to join the conversation with LEARN about how School of Education faculty and graduate students can engage with LEARN NC initiatives. Light lunches will be provided for approximately 25 people at the event. The lunches are made possible through the generous support of Malbert Smith (M.Ed. ’77, Ph.D. ’80) and Metametrics, Inc.
