Luis Moll, professor in the Department of Language, Reading and Culture in the College of Education at the University of Arizona, will present a lecture "Only Life Educates: Mobilizing Cultural Resources for Teaching and Learning." In his presentation, Moll discusses ideas about how to take advantage of a wealth of knowledge and other resources that exist in local households and communities to shape a pedagogy that both connects to students' experiences and engages them academically.
