SAC Brown Bag Lunch
“Reconnect and Recharge: Plugging New Teachers into Support Outlets”
March 14, 2012
This brown bag will focus on an ongoing project within Teaching and Learning in which some of our recent teacher education graduates meet three or four times per year to explore the successes and challenges they encounter as newly inducted teachers across North Carolina. The discussion will examine the Reconnect and Recharge model, highlighting the themes reflected in the dilemmas participants have shared. Some of the problem solving strategies participants have used to support one another in these seminars also will be discussed.
Please note – and plan accordingly – that light lunches will be provided for approximately 25 people at each of this year’s Brown Bag Lunch talks.
The lunches are made possible through the generous support of Malbert Smith (M.Ed. ’77, Ph.D. ’80) and Metametrics, Inc.
Speakers: Jocelyn Glazier, Harriet Able, Ashley Boyd, Ritsa Mallous, and Kristen Bell Hughes
Place: 02 Peabody Hall
Bring: Something to drink!
