Teaching Fellows Open House for Regional Finalists

Jan. 31, 2010

The Teaching Fellows program at the School of Education will host an open house for students who have been named regional finalists and their parents.

Guests are invited to Peabody Hall, the home of the School of Education, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Registration will be held in the lobby. Dr. Cheryl Horton, director of the UNC-Chapel Hill Teaching Fellows program, will be available for informal conversation in room 104. Current Teaching Fellows will lead campus tours from 1:30-3 p.m., leaving from Peabody Hall.

An information session for all students and parents will begin at 3 p.m. in the Hanes Art Center auditorium, a short walk from Peabody Hall. Following the information session, Dr. Horton will be on hand to answer questions.

Parking in downtown parking lots is recommended. The parking fee is $1/hour. Both the Wallace Deck and the Rosemary/Columbia lot are within walking distance of Peabody Hall. As an alternative, a very limited number of free parking spaces might be available in the Swain Lot, a campus parking lot across the street from Peabody Hall.

Please register in advance by contacting Janice Gattis, Teaching Fellows program manager, at or (919) 962-0743.
