Zoe Woodell Locklear (M.Ed. ’79, Ph.D. ’89) has been named provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Eddie Gray, boys basketball coach at Garner High School, has been named as the 2015 Male Coach of the Year by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

Ephesus Elementary School’s counseling program has met the criteria to become a Recognized ASCA Model Program by the American School Counselor Association. Ash Sherman, a UNC-CH school counseling graduate, is the school counselor.
