There are several paths to becoming a teacher.

If you have never been a teacher, you can:

  • Earn a degree
  • Follow a non-degree alternate route through Lateral Entry or Licensure Only

 

If you already have a teaching license, you should consider:

The Master of Education for Experienced Teachers

  • Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support (Birth-K)
  • K-6, 6-9, 9-12, K-12 in Various Teaching Areas

An add-on license

  • Birth-Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten
  • Curriculum and Instruction Specialist
  • English as a Second Language
  • Literacy (Reading) Off-Campus
  • Literacy (Reading) Online
  • School Administration
  • Special Education: General Curriculum

A master’s degree in

  • School Administration (On-Campus)
  • School Administration (Off-Campus Flex)
  • School Counseling
