Collaboration Support at UNC

  • Carolina Center for Public Service
    Promotes community engagement through grants for faculty and students. A weekly email newsletter announces funding and service opportunities.
  • Center for Faculty Excellence
    Supports faculty professional development for instruction, research, and leadership skills. Research support includes identifying multi-disciplinary collaborators and conducting training seminars.
  • The Funding Information Portal
    Is a central repository of resources that aids faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students in seeking information on funding sources for independent research, collaborative projects, fellowships, program development, and other scholarly activities.
  • Odum Institute: Faculty Working Groups
    Sponsors interdisciplinary working groups open to all interested UNC faculty. These groups meet regularly to discuss common research themes or methodological concerns and may develop common research proposals.
  • Office of Research Development (ORD)
    Engages researchers in the development of interdisciplinary research and advises teams as they create competitive proposals. ORD coordinates the university nomination of faculty for awards and grants ("limited submissions").
  • LEARN NC
    LEARN NC, a program of the School of Education, provides lesson plans, professional development, and innovative web resources to support teachers, build community, and improve K-12 education in North Carolina. They are a ready partner to connect research with a variety of organizations throughout North Carolina and across the United States to bring teachers the best available classroom content and professional development.
  • Evaluation, Assessment and Policy Connections (EvAP)
    EvAP is a unit within the School of Education. EvAP's mission is to build evaluation capacity and effectiveness of public, nonprofit , and private organizations to meet the challenges of developing and sustaining successful programs. EvAP can guide you through setting goals, determining outcomes, and identifying methods to measure programs, which enables them to use what they learn from evaluation to make informed decisions about future paths. EvAP specializes in training evaluators and conducting program evaluations.
