The author describes many weaknesses in the book, The Future of Test-based Educational Accountability, by Katherine E. Ryan and Lorrie A. Shepard. The book, according to its preface, "began as a tribute to Distinguished Professor Robert Lee Linn" (p. xi). While stating that a tribute to Linn is appropriate, Cizek argues that this volume falls short of doing justice to Linn’s noteworthy work.
