A former middle and high school teacher, Suzanne Allen Gulledge directs the Middle Grades Teacher Education Program and the International Social Studies Project. She is active on the Carolina campus, serving on university faculty committees and centers that include the University Center for International Studies, WorldView and the Center for Economic Education. Teacher education and teacher professional development, in addition to social foundations and social studies education, are Gulledge’s primary scholarly interests. She has participated in state initiatives to revise the social studies curriculum in North Carolina and served on the North Carolina Middle Grades Task Force. |
