Bio

Deborah Eaker-Rich is a clinical assistant professor who provides leadership in the quality assurance of the academic programs in the School of Education. She focuses on faculty and staff engagement with academic information as related to standards and assessment required for accreditation, review of distance and online resources, survey and statistical data produced for state and professional associations and evaluation of academic improvement strategies pursued by the school. In addition, she teaches and advises part-time on qualitative research and the social foundations of education.

Previously, Eaker-Rich conducted policy and program evaluation for Westat and performed an external evaluation for the All Kinds of Minds Institute. Her evaluation experience also includes work on teacher training and teacher effectiveness through the Southeast Center for Teaching Quality. In addition, she has taught an array of courses and engaged in research training for graduate students at N.C. State University and UNC-Chapel Hill.
