Patrick Akos, Program Coordinator

Akos holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia. He has experience as an elementary and a middle school counselor. He holds several counseling licenses (NC K-12 school counseling licensure, NC LPC) and certificates (NCC, NCSC, ACS), as well as teacher certification (NC middle grades social studies; 7-12 sociology).

John Galassi

Galassi holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. He received training in school counseling in his master's program at Harvard University.

Dana Griffin

Griffin holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the College of William and Mary. She has experience as a middle school counselor and co-director of a family counseling center. She holds school counseling licensure (VA K-12) and is nationally certified as a counselor (NCC).

Cizek holds a Ph.D. in Measurement, Evaluation, and Research Design from Michigan State University. He teaches the tests and measurements course (EDUC 609).

Kelly Coker

Coker holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has experience as a drug prevention and intervention specialist in K-12 schools and a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. She had national certification (NCC) and counselor.

O'Sullivan holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction from Auburn University. She teaches the applied investigations course (EDUC 709).
