Special Education (K-12)
The focus of this specialty area is the K-12 Special Education: General Curriculum. Teachers who successfully complete the program requirements can earn both an M.Ed. and the recommendation for master’s level licensure. The program provides an interdisciplinary approach to the education of students with mild to moderate disabilities in inclusive learning environ-ments. Strategies for working with families and interdisciplinary professionals in meeting students’ specialized learning needs are addressed.
