Master of Education for Experienced Teachers, M.Ed.

Science (K-6, 6-9)

We are NOT currently offering admissions for the Science (K-6, 6-9) cohort.

If you would like to be alerted to potential future cohort offerings,
please contact the Cohort Leader below.

The focus of the specialty area is Science Education. Teachers who successfully complete the program requirements earn both an M.Ed. and the recommendation for master’s level licensure in the area that they had upon entry into the program (elementary K-6 or middle grades 6-9).

Coursework is done in both disciplinary science content and science education. Remaining coursework addresses broader content applicable across all disciplines and grade levels of teaching. One of the main benefits for K-8 teachers participating as a cohort is the perspective each participant gains on the development of science content with respect to learning progressions, technology integration, and 21st century skills.
