Educational Leadership
Overview
Welcome to the Educational Leadership (EL) Area. Never before in the history of public education has there been a greater need for leadership, advocacy, and activism. Changing demands on the system, to fulfill the promise of excellence and equity for all students, are challenging educational leaders to take a stand; to lead the renewal of America’s commitment to work for the good of the whole, re-awakening the spirit of public service and putting aside differences and personal desires. If you feel a deep calling to be a part of this mission, please investigate and consider our programs.
The M.S.A. degree programs lead to positions as building principals and assistant principals. The add-on licensure program leads primarily to positions as assistant principals. The Ed.D. degree leads to positions that can range from the principalship to superintendent, to state and national policy, research and professorship positions.
